Deep Space - The Hubble Ultra Deep Field

This is a picture of deep space. It is a picture of space where astronomers had never seen any stars at all! If you had a straw that was as tall as your ceiling and took a picture through it with a special camera in space for 11 days, this is what you would see. There are ten thousand galaxies inside that little hole! Astronomers think the whole sky is probably like this, with about 100 billion galaxies. Each galaxy has about a 100 billion stars in it. That's incredible! Some people think that it all came from a really big explosion, accidentally. Other people think it was put here on purpose. What do you think?
